Pat Cummins-led Beautifully As Well – Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh acknowledged the opposition’s resilient fight throughout the game. He highlighted the significance of luck in the game, particularly in crucial moments when Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan posed a threat.

“Pretty funny way to end, but it was a tense day of cricket. They fought extremely well right through the day. Another one that depended on a bit of luck, I nearly lost it and did well to hang on. This feels like a lot, when Babar was in, Rizwan as well, it looked like they’d take it away (from us), but our (bowling) experience counted in the end. What a game he had (on Pat Cummins), 10 wickets and he led beautifully as well. We’ll celebrate in the change room and then get ready for the New Year Test in Sydney,” Mitchell Marsh said.

In the second innings, Pakistan’s two left-arm pacers reduced the hosts to 16/4. Mitchell Marsh, having been dropped on 20, capitalized on the opportunity, scoring a crucial fifty. Alex Carey’s fifty extended Australia’s lead beyond 300, making the chase challenging for Pakistan.
